WA State Science & Engineering Fair

WA State Science & Engineering Fair

WA State Science & Engineering Fair

WaterPAK awarded two projects this year!

The first project focused on water conservation. This fourth-grade student created an electronic device that measures soil moisture while simultaneously obtaining real-time precipitation predictions. His instrument uses this data to determine the optimal time for irrigation.

The second chosen project was developed by an 11th grader who focused on water purification. She created a method to remove disinfection byproducts using foam fractionation.

Both chosen projects reflect WaterPAK's mission of protecting and conserving one of our most precious resources—your drinking water!

Award recipients both received a trophy, certificate, and a $100 check. Visit the Science Fair's site for more information.
